Documentary on small scale fishery

The aim of the documentary is to show the diversity and the importance of small scale fisheries, as well as the involvement of fishermen. We believe that fishermen exploiting localized resource feel more concerned about this resource and are willing to work with scientists to achieve sustainable fishery. We also believe that we should move away from the industrial fishery model with non-selective fishing gears.

We want to show a complete picture of fishery and fishery management , with interviews from stakeholders, fishermen, scientists, and members of ICES and FAO. We would like the documentary to show different points of view, and to bring hope, showing the collaboration between all people involved in fishery to achieve sustainability and preserve both the resource and the profession of fisherman .
