Truth be told, I, or rather Cupola, has a problem and although I don't like asking, to put it very simply...

We need some help!

The floor of the framing department is likely to collapse within 6 months unless urgent repairs are carried out and the costs are coming in at an eye watering amount! Sadly this is our responsibility under lease. There are a number of other significant building repairs also needed but nothing as urgent as the state of the floor.

Established in 1991 Cupola has remained in the same location on Middlewood Road in Hillsborough, Sheffield, for 28 years. Fiercely independent we have survived without outside funding only through the hard work of our artists and loyal customers. Thanks to this we have been able to take risks, showcase some incredible work and provide an income for artists through the sale of their work. So despite many hardships and setbacks the gallery continues – and with your help will continue for many years yet....

In 2021, the gallery reaches its 30th anniversary and we would love to be able to feel confident about its long term future, continuing to provide artists space to take risks, have fun and display and sell quality contemporary artwork.

Thanks for reading! K xx

Karen Sherwood, Director.

Art Auction - results are in!

Update posted by Karen Sherwood at 01:16 pm

Thanks to everyone that came to the art auction kindly hosted by DINA venue on Saturday 26 October. We raised over £5k (woohoo!) from the event but as artists have been so hugely generous and we couldn't possibly auction everything on the night, we will be arranging an online auction. . . . .
