If you know CJ (Clarence Clark, CClark, CclarkFotos) at all, you know this to be true:
CJ is so kind, what's the saying..."couldn't hurt a fly"? That's him... all bark and no bite. He is tough on the outside, has a swagger about him for sure, and on the inside? He's the most gentle and caring man I know. His compassion extends further than his reach; even in his photography, he sought success for the people around him.
CJ found purpose as a photographer. He started photography by just picking up a camera over 6 years ago, and he never put it down. His drive and determination are unmatched, he works harder than anyone I know. He eats, sleeps, and dreams about his craft and desires to be better and better every day. In that short time, he created something great - a business with over 35,000 social media followers and a steady income with which he'd support his family.

CJ and his fiance Rachel were living in Stone Mountain with their 3 year old son Kalin. Kalin and his dad were inseparable; he's an amazing father. For the first year and a half of Kalin's life, CJ stayed home with Kalin during the day while Rachel went to work, and their bond since has never waivered. They're practically the same person - they love watching movies together and listening to music; they both are the life of the party - CJ's personality is magnetic! He passed that trait on to his 13 year old daughter Shaniya too... She's quieter than the other two, but not for long, and is hilarious and brilliant nonetheless.

CJ's heart is good. He is God-fearing, faithful and thankful: CJ has a personal relationship with God, and he knows that He has a plan for him, and He is not done with him. CJ has a light that the Lord WILL let shine. It is painful to not understand the why or what that God has planned for us, but it's also in His refuge that we find our purpose and peace.

On October 24, 2014, a decision was made that took CJ from his family and friends to a maximum security prison for what man defined as a life sentence. CJ's crime was defending himself and his family nearly seven years ago in one horrifying, unthinkable night, and for that he's being punished to the fullest extent of the law.

He is so thankful for this army of support in this life - to feel your world rise up for you is undoubtably a tribute to his true character and heart.

Please, we need your support. We've filed an appeal and will not give up hope that this is it for CJ and his family - that they won't be together again until 3 year old Kalin is CJ's age now, but with a family of his own. The next steps are so costly and financial support is needed to navigate attorney fees and CJ's comfort away from home.
CJ is literally the strongest, bravest man I know... but this valley is deep, and it is with our continued prayers, love and support that we'll fuel him for this journey ahead.
